Hey guys, thought I'd revive this thread for my own selfish purposes lol. I've had as entry-level a DSLR as you can get and I really want better shots now that I feel I know what I'm doing. Any suggestions? I want to stay with Nikon because I have three Nikkor lenses including the 18-200 I got just this year. I was looking at the D5200 which would be better, but I also thought about splurging on the D7100 because it seems to trump everything in its class.

Any thoughts? Won't be making this decision soon, but just want to get started on some research.

it was considering those two cameras last week
i decided on the D7000, i had a talk with a few camera guys and decided the extra cash for the D7100 wasnt worth it
they told me get a cheaper body and put the extra money into the lens
the D7000 is about the same price as the D5200, but the D7000 is a high tier of camera so i'm going for that
hoping to get it in the next month or two
planning on getting a 16-85 lens i think

I already put a good amount of money into a lens so now I'm looking for a more capable body. Let me know what you think of the D7000, it could definitely be an option.

I wanna get another lens for my camera, but I don't know how I can afford it. I've got $400.00 in my life savings at the moment with no income.
