Lately the amount of arguments on here have gotten much higher. I think we can all agree that it needs to stop. It does nothing but cause problems, and plenty of people have left the site or have thought about leaving the site because of it. Let's all make sure we try our hardest to keep these arguments from happening!

The following are a few of my opinions on how we can avoid these situations:

- If something doesn't need to be said, DON'T SAY ANYTHING. People can be annoying and people can make mistakes. You don't need to point out every single thing a person does that you don't like. It only gets that person upset and starts an argument.

- If you find yourself in an argument with another person, take it to private messages. Nobody needs to see endless forum posts of people blaming other people for stuff.

- If someone upsets you, try and respond in a peaceful manner. Don't call names or say totally unnecessary things. Target the topic that your are arguing about, not the person.

- It takes two people to keep an argument going. If you have an issue, state your opinion in one comment and then let it be. If the person is personally attacking you and saying lies about you, go ahead and defend yourself. Otherwise, another comment is really not necessary.

Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. If you have a problem with what I said here I would like to know. :)

I agree with all except the 2nd one from the top. Instead of taking it into a private message, why not just stop it?

I like the way you talk, Shane. Only thing is, I have very little faith in the community to uphold this code. I, however, will try to follow it.

Stopping the argument would of course be best, but if they want to continue to be immature they should do it in PM's so none of us have to deal with it.

I think everyone agrees with this post but there are some people that just refuse to stop arguing and attacking other people no matter what.

I second this. However, people just call me out no matter what. I have serious trust issues now more than ever.

Just a word of advice, its safest not to trust people over the internet. I think you have learn from the last couple days but just wanting to make sure you understand.

I agree to everything on this thread but people need to stop complaining and other people should stop starting and trying to bother other people.

I agree with this all, of course. But I also agree that there are still "those people" who won't follow these rules. If anyone targets and/or picks on someone, he/she should be suspended from wherever they posted. Should we be reporting people like this? At least from now on?

I like your idea, I think it will help clear the forums a little better. Maybe we can give a warning and if they are still not cooperating we can report.
