The Prancing Moose badge isn't a tuner symbol. It actually refers to the "Moose Avoidance Test" during a test when Volvo was testing a their brand new XC90 SUV and it's Dynamic Stability Traction Control back in 2003. The design itself came about after a fan named David Barton created his own version of a moose sticker he saw on one of Volvo's special XC90s in 2005 at a car show he attended.

Check out his website: The origins of the Prancing Moose badge
