Oh god, hmm.. I watched video spotters on youtube and then searched google for websites that were devoted to carspotting. Found Autogespot and this site. I thought Autogespot was a bit messy and had cars that I really didn't care for so I mainly just began lurking on ES and after a month or so I decided to make an account.
I remember uploading some really terrible first shots and getting complements like "Your spots are great! I love 'em. You're a good spotter!" and it just makes me laugh looking back and seeing how terrible those photos were lol. Felt nice having photos appreciated though so I stuck around.
I'd enjoyed seeing other people's spots for about 4 years before I finally joined. I love it too, I never thought people would appreciate my spots as much as they do!
I was reminiscing on a car I saw in my town, a Halloween inspired Elise, and decided to Google it. Found that picture, and from there started exploring the site. Ended up making an account later on that year!
One day I was on my iPad, and I came across this site, looking for car pictures. It took me 5 minutes and more searching to get back to it. Once I did, I made an account. So yeah.
This was a bad idea on the teachers part because this class was mostly filled with the stoners, bullies, and communists so it got pretty crazy in that class.
I would watch YouTube videos of people posting videos of cars in Dubai, Monaco and LA ect so I saw a Ferrari at my country club and decided to also get a picture and post it and somehow when trying to look up how to post it a I ran across the wiki page for "Spotting" and found ES
