I have noticed the significant drops in likes. I uploaded a decent shot of a white 458 Spider and it got 17 likes. I think it has something to do with the fact that there are no more PNG uploads.

Someone commented "L/F" on a photo of mine but didn't even favorite it..

I hate when that happens...

I still don't understand what the big deal is with all of the spotter ratings and likes. I don't care. No one else should care either. We come on this site to have fun, share photos of exotic cars, and discuss cars with fellow enthusiasts. Likes and favorites shouldn't matter, period.

My ranking has been going down..Its lower now, then it was when I wasn't posting exotics

Same here, I used to use this site way back when there was no social side to it, and ive recently returned just before they changed the rating system. I added some new pics last week, including 2 ferrari combos and and an E-type coupe/convertible combo and my rating has just bombed. I don't care about my rating, I dont live in a big city with lots of exotics and I don't carry my camera around all the time, so I know I wont be constantly posting great shots. But it does seem that the rating would rather you didn't post your photo's at all unless they're utterly amazing.

Also, it would be nice to have a place to put utterly amazing 'illegal' shots - i went to Goodwood and got pictures of some amazing cars - like every flagship Lamborghini ever (400 GT - Aventador inc. Reventon) all in a row. I also saw a fair few concepts, which are unlikely to ever be seen outside on the road. I knew when i went to the show there would be lots of exotics, but i had no idea what - and believe me seeing some fo the classic supercars really made my day.

Lately, I have been lazy to like and favorite photos right now. Maybe that is why.

ur rating will go up and down, when other users ratings go up and down as they eiter get pushed below u or above u.

but if u upload a picture and it hardly gets likes ur rating will prob drop

Some good spotters/photogaphers don't comment anymore pictures of other guys.

Do they have their rating boosted because of that? Just wondering.

I can't understand how NOT commenting can improve the rating.

Also, those who think they can like and favorite their own photos using another
account and get smth. significant out of it can give up with such a tricks.

I think what he's trying to say is that people won't comment on other people's photos because they don't want that person's rating to go up. I haven't seen that happening though.

Well, maybe. So, if they stop commenting, they stop improving someone's rating?
But maybe they stop improving their own as well by doing that? Why not, really?

Eventually everyone will understand that the only path to get a good rating
is through posting good spot photos.
