I hope he gets one in the same colour as in the video because that looks f**king amazing...

Is he trading in the 650S for it? If so, I'd like to know how much money he knowingly lost buying a new car with full knowledge he'd be trading it in for another in a few months.

If you're smart, you can actually make money on stuff like that. I believe theres currently a waitlist for the 650S and I'm sure he would have no trouble finding an impatient owner waiting to take delivery

Some people would rather get a brand new car and I'm sure his had quite a few miles on it with all of his rallies and everything he did.

If you watch the video he says that the 675LT is the first car he is buying new, he bought the 650S slightly used.

And the 675LT is a limited edition with only 500 being made, I doubt they are going lose value that much, if at all.

I was just watching the news (which I don't do too often) on the wildfires in the San Bernadino area. One of the shots showed a car carrier on fire, and I couldn't believe my eyes when I realized that one of the cars on fire (on the carrier) was a Jaguar E-Type. I'm trying to find the video online now to get a screenshot, but it looks pretty bad...

He didn't buy the 650S used. The 675LT is the first he is ORDERING, meaning he can build the car from the ground up how he likes. He bought the 650S new, it was just on the dealers lot. It'd be the same as going to a Mercedes dealer and buying a brand new AMG GT S from their inventory

I'm not meaning he'd lose money on the 675LT, I mean on the depreciation lost on the 650S (plus taxes, titling, etc).

It was a showroom car, I'm pretty sure it was being driven on test drives etc. for people who were gonna buy a 650S. I doubt McLaren would just make a car for a dealership to just show it and not drive.

Yeah of course. But really if he can afford to daily a McLaren I doubt he's gonna worry about depreciation.

Umm yeah they kinda just show it, thats why they're called showroom cars. You have to be a serious buyer to test drive one, and even then Im sure they have designated test drive cars. Thats what we do at the Mercedes dealer I work at.

Plus even if it was out on test drives, its still considered a new car.

Used, even though just slightly used, but still used.

No its not. If that were the case, then no dealer would allow test drives, because going from a new car to a used car decreases the price of a new car by about 25%. If you were to buy a new car today, the moment you drive it off the lot, its lost 25% of its value. I would know, I used to partially run a used car dealership specializing in imports

Yesyesyes. From my point of view, if the car has been driven before you buy it, it's used, not new. But whatever.

No cars come with 0 miles on the odometer. Never. You will never see it

Even my brother's brand spanking new BMW from the factory didn't come with 0 miles.
