By the way, the category means nothing for likes and favorites, to continue the question that you seem to have ignored. Cars from the "Other" categories can still be some of the highest rated cars. It is the car that matters, not the category. Also, I'm still confused as to why likes and favorites are so important in the first place.

they would just go under other other

No?..Other/Other is more general, strictly speaking, than Other/Vintage, so..
when new people join most wont think about posting any non exotic vintage cars if their wasnt a other - vintage section
