The one time every four years that people act like they always cared about soccer. I personally hate the sport with a passion and most of the people that talk about it are unbearable. ESPN doesn't care about soccer but it's all they are broadcasting now when they should have been talking about the Stanley Cup. I've always been a sports fan but the sports world is so messed up most of the time.

I don't think I would say I hate soccer, but it's a little bit like baseball and hockey in that often times there are long periods of time without much action. Guess I'll stick to American Football instead : )

hockey's so much more exciting than football. it's non-stop action where football is action, pause, action, pause, action, pause [http://static03.mediaite.com/sportsgrid/uploads/2014/01/i3OtXsk.png]source

I like the U.S and Portugal. They play each other Sunday so it should be interesting!

Hockey is my No. 1 favorite sport to watch. Like Sam said, if there's not a stoppage of play like a penalty, icing, offside or a covered puck, play won't stop. Especially in the third period of a playoff game or something, that's the most exciting stuff in sports.

Not trying to call you out or anything but this couldn't be right. Football games have 15 minute quarters and while there is a running clock sometimes it stops when a player goes out of bounds or there is an incomplete pass. There almost has to be more than 11 minutes of action and they show the whole game.

Hockey is by far my favorite sport to play and watch, but for some reason I always get really into the World Cup.

+1. I hate football, people get so emotional about it when I tell them I support no team, like I committed a murder or punched a kitten

On my vacation in London in April, I was at a pub and I watched a Chelsea game, and there was a major upset, so they lost. I've never seen so many pissed off people lol
