1) why are we up this late at night?
2) I told you before! I'm bored!

Go to bed then.. Assuming you are in a similar time zone to me, it must be getting late.

I'm conflicted. I hate it but I know (relatively) famous people who drive Priuses?

Wait is it "Priuese" of is it "Priusi","Pre-","Pre-" (groan). What's the plural for "Prius'?

The official plural for "Prius" is "Prii". They had a poll for it, with the choices of "Prien", "Prius", "Priuses", "Prii", and one other that I can't remember. But Prii won.

And how exactly is that pronounced? Is it Prii (like "pry"?)

I like the Prius for some reasons, and I dislike the Prius for some reasons. It is very economical, but it is also not the prettiest car. No matter the reasons, Toyota sure did an excellent job creating a car that is pretty much synonymous and automatically thought of when mentioning great gas mileage.

Yet the manufacturing prcesses of making just ONE prius does more environmental damage than a Range Rover.

True, however, non car enthusiasts do not necessarily pay attention to that. They are still the go to economical car and are bought very frequently.

Digging into that a bit deeper (because the car does still do stuff after it's made), it would seem as though the Prius is still cleaner than a gas powered car over its lifetime due to the fuel savings and low tailpipe emissions.

Also keep in mind that news may be very outdated now, as some articles I'm seeing on that are from 2007, which would allow for 8 years of scientific advances to potentially clean up the process.

The issues with the pollution of creating them were when they originally came out and didn't have a centralized factory, thus, they had to transport them all around the world, which was the cause of the pollution.

Not only that, but the batteries require (or at least did) a process that produces a large amount of pollution.
