I prefer to wear such things with simple black or dark jeans, and, oddly enough, they go well with regular winter boots. It is important, of course, that the rest of the clothes are more neutral, so as not to interrupt the overall look. Such things are very easy to style, without turning into some kind of bright fashion "experiment" that will catch the eye.
